join in Bradford 1905 |
So, in 1905 the families of Francis
and Eliza ,
and Minnie and Mary
joined at the Bradford house on John Street. Around the same time, George
moved back home after living in the hotel .
Nancy describes her father during this time as very good looking, having
"white whiskers". He had cataracts surgery which was very successful; "he
used to sit by the register and read." Francis was also a great churchman. |
Francis
dies in 1911 |
One Sunday he began vomiting in church due to a stomach ulcer. He was
sick for a week, and then died in the Bradford House after 12 hours of
haemorrhaging, tended to by Dr. Stevenson. It was 5 Jul 1911. Two days
later, he was buried by Cannon Morley at Christ Church. See the death

At this time, no obituary or estate papers have been found (12).
