George Dean Laughton Morton

Worked in Bradford Store confirmation certificateGeorge left home earlier story as a teenager and worked in Elliot's Store in Bradford. He boarded at the local Hotel, and received his confirmation at Trinity Church, Bradford, in 1904. During his brother William's illness in 1903/04, he used to walk to Woodmount Farm every Saturday night. After William's death, and the families' subsequent move to John Street in Bradford, George moved out of the hotel and back home continue this story with Francis, and his sisters and sister-in-law.

Walking stick knob with inscriptionThis is the brass knob of the walking stick given to George on his 24th birthday. The inscription on the end reads:
