1. Edward1 STALLARD; born circa 1677;[1] married Mary Page, daughter of Richard Page and Mary Salter, 7 Oct 1697 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England; where Edward was of Widley;[2],[3] died aged 78-79 1756 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England;[4] buried 1756 at All Saints Churchyard, Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England.[5]

He lived in 1697 at Widley, Co. Hampshire, England.[6] He collarmaker, gave evidence in an ecclesiastical court in libel case in Jan 1705 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England.[7] In the Catherington church records, there are four more children born after 1716, in addition to the four born 1698-1710 attributed to Edward Stallard and Mary. Francis b.1718, Anne b.1720, Mary b.1724, Susannah b.1726. There were also two burials recorded for Mary, wife of Edward Stallard: in Jun 1716 and Jan 1726/27.[8],[9] He lived on 30 Apr 1717 at Horndean, Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England; a copyhold messuage and appurtenances, leased from John Collins.[10] He was a collar maker, and master to apprentice Joseph Shaft in 1722 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England.[11]

Mary PAGE[12],[12] was baptized on 11 Jan 1668 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England.[13]

Hampshire, England;[15] married Mary Collins, daughter of Philip Collins and Martha Messam, 20 Oct 1748 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England;[20],[21] died 1778 at Horndean, Co. Hampshire, England;[22] buried 24 Feb 1778 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England.[23]

He was a collar maker, and master to apprentice Thomas Hollier in 1754 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England.[24] He lived in 1778 at Horndean, Co. Hampshire, England; until his death.[25]

Mary COLLINS[26],[27] was christened on 10 Feb 1722 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England.[28]

    It is said Richard and Anne had four children in Hambledon: RIchard (1785-1852), Mary (1786-1867), Elizabeth (1791-1856), and Ann (1791-1864).[34]

He and Jane Cooke lived in 1798 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England.[55] He was a Spirit Dealer in 1828 at Havant, Co. Hampshire, England.[56] He left a will on 11 Feb 1828 at Havant, Co. Proved at London 11th February 1828."[57] On 13 Feb 1828 an auction to be held in Havant was annouced selling the deceased Edward Stallard's house and shop on East-street, and rental properties in Liss and Catherington.[58]

4. William3 STALLARD (child of William2, Edward1);[74],[75] baptized 27 Jan 1764 at Catherington, Co. Hampshire, England; by banns, where William was from Catherington and signed his name, and Olive from Buriton and she made her mark, witnessed by Richard Wyatt and William Caplin;[77],[78],[79] died by a fall from his horse 20 Oct 1820 at age 56;[80],[81],[82],[83] buried 24 Oct 1820 at Buriton, Co. Hampshire, England.[149] Probably around 1831, Edward became publican or host of the "Five Bells" pub in Buriton. His mother Olive was its advertised hostess in 1830.[150],[149],[151] He was a publican, collar maker and saddler between 1831 and 1840 at Buriton, Co. Hampshire, England.[149],[152],[153] He and Charlotte Todman appeared on the census of 1841 at Buriton, Co. Hampshire, England; where Edward (~45) was a parchment maker, and Charlotte (~45), Ellen (15), George (12), Albert (9), Clarissa (7), Sarah (5) were present. Their servant was Sophia Brooks (25), also her son David (10 mo.) was present.[154],[155] In 1841, Edward paid tithes for his residence, a house and garden on North Lane, and a paddock across from the Five Bells pub (his son Edward junior paid tithes for the parchment yard).[156] He and Charlotte Todman lived in 1841 at North Lane, Buriton, Co. Hampshire, England; where Edward was recorded to be a parchment maker.[157] He was probably a collar maker, parchment maker and fellmonger (preparer of pelts for leather making) between 1841 and 1846 at Buriton, Co. Hampshire, England.[158],[159] He was declared insolvent on 7 Jun 1844 at Buriton, Co. Hampshire, England.[160] By 1847, Edward and family had moved south to the coastal town of Havant, where he, joined by sons George and Albert, took over operations at the Homewell Parchment Yard.[161] He was a parchment maker and fellmonger between 1847 and 1867 at Homewell Parchment Yard, Havant, Co. Hampshire, England.[162] He and Charlotte Todman appeared on the census of 1851 at East Street, Havant, Co. Hampshire, England; where Edward (58) born Buriton, employed 8 men and 4 boys as a master fellmonger. Charlotte (56) born Petersfield, and George (22) a journeyman fellmonger, Albert (20) also a journeyman fellmonger, Clarissa (17) and Sarah (14) were present, and Alfred Stent (Edward's grandson, 6) was visiting.[163],[164] He was a fellmonger (preparer of pelts for leather making) circa 1853.[165] He and Charlotte Todman appeared on the census of 1861 at West Street, Havant, Co. Hampshire, England; where Edward (68) was a fellmonger employing 3 men and 1 boy, b. Buriton Hants, Charlotte (67) b. Haslemere Surrey, Mary A Stent (39), widowed daughter, her son Alfred Stent (16), and two more grandchildren, Ellen Judd (19), and Elizabeth Judd (16) were present.[166] He left a will on 18 Sep 1862 at Havant, Co. Hampshire, England; Where he declared his parchment business will go to sons George and Albert, all real estate to wife Charlotte, and the residue to be divided among his seven living children, excepting Edward, and his Judd grandchildren. "I have excluded my son Edward from all benefit... because I have made adequate advances to him in my lifetime." His first codicil of 1 Apr 1864 included grandson Alfred Stent, and in the second codicil of 9 Apr 1869, he adjusted will as George and Albert had already received the parchment business, and "I also revoke the unfavourable declaration... towards my son Edward... I give him... £100."[167] He and Charlotte Todman were living in 1867 at Havant, Co. Hampshire, England; with son Albert.[168]

Charlotte TODMAN[169],[170] was born in 1794 at Haslemere, Co. Surrey, England.[171],[172] She was christened on 30 Nov 1794 at St Bartholomew, Haslemere, Co. Surrey, England; where her father was John Todman, and mother Elizabeth.[173],[174],[175] She died "relict of the late Edward Stallard, in her 83rd year" on 18 Jun 1876 at Havant, Co. Hampshire, England, at age 81.[140],[176],[177],[178] She was buried at Havant Cemetery, Havant, Co. Hampshire, England, "in 85th year."[143] She was not born in in 1794 at Petersfield, Co. Sarah FURNER was born in 1795.[201] She was buried on 29 Aug 1826 at St Thomas, Winchester, Co. Hampshire, England, aged 31.[202]
