          He emigrated in 1832 to British North America (Canada).[144],[145] "John worked on the docks, at Port Credit, briefly before travelling north, in the spring to secure a job as a cooper in Meadowville... John was an organizer for William Lyon MacKenzie during the Rebellion of 1837 and married a Tory's daughter, Jane 3 days after the battle, in a church at Derry West."[146] He was the hauler of the first load of merchandise to the first store to be opened in Brampton circa 1834 at Chinguacousy Twp., Peel Co., Upper Canada (Ontario), British North America (Canada).[147],[148] He lived in 1837 at Chinguacousy Twp., Peel Co., Upper Canada (Ontario), British North America (Canada).[149] He and Jane McKeown lived in 1840 at lot 12 W½, con 1, Albion Twp., Home District, Upper Canada (Ontario), British North America (Canada).[150] He was living in 1846 at Albion Twp., Cardwell, Canada West (Ontario), British North America (Canada).[151],[152] He and Jane McKeown appeared on the census of 1851 at Albion Twp., Peel Co., Canada West (Ontario), British North America (Canada); where John (40) was a farmer, and Jane (30), both born Ire., Samuel (13), Joseph (11), John (9), Rob (5), Jane (7), David (3), and Mary (2) were present, Wesleyan Methodist, all children b. (3), and John U. N. (new born) were present. The family were Methodist.[159] On 25 Jan 1905 it was published, "John Kee died at Sandhill in his 93rd year. He was one of Albion's earliest settlers and was a staunch Liberal and a member of the Methodist Church."[160]

            Samuel and Jemima had six children: Albert Edward Kee (1867-1873), John Wesley Kee (1869-1934), Mary Jane Kee (1871-1897), Joseph Kee (1873-1900), Eliza Ann Kee (1874-1900), Mildred Kee (1882-?).[167] He and Jemima Lemon appeared on the census of 1871 at Mono Twp., Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada; where Samuel Kee (30) was a farmer, and Jemimia Kee (30), Albert E Kee (4), Samul J Kee (1) were present.[168]

            Joseph and Isabella had six children: Robert John Kee, M.D. (1875-1959), Joseph Albert Kee (1876-1950) the father of Douglas Thurston Kee (1914-?) who wrote an extensive history of the Kee family in 1970, Ira Cecil Kee (1879-1905), Lillie May Kee (1882-1967), Cora Blanche Kee (1884-1884), and Reginald Crawford Kee (1892-1987).[172]

John Kee;[169],[169] born 13 Feb 1842 at Sandhill, Peel Co., Upper Canada (Ontario), British North America (Canada);[35] married Elizabeth Davidson 11 Jan 1876 at Cheltenham, Peel Co., Ontario, Canada;[173] died 14 Dec 1907 at age 65;[41] buried at Anglican Cemetery, Banda, Mulmur Twp., Dufferin Co., Ontario, Canada.[174]

            "As a young man he went into partnership with his brother, Robert Kee, in a tannery at Cheltenham in Peel County. Later he took up farming near Arvening, in Simcoe County."[175] John and Elizabeth had six children: Thomas John Kee (1878-1896), Anne Maude Kee (1880-1921), Margaret Rebecca Kee (1882-1898), Jessie May Kee, B.A.,M.A. (1884-?), Edith Warren Kee, R.O. (1886-1935), and Norman Roy Kee, V.S. (1888-1962).[176]

            "For some years he operated a tannery at Cheltenham, in Peel County, in partnership with his older brother, John Kee, but in his later years he was Clerk of the Township of Chinguacousy."[181] Robert and Martha had five children: Bertha M. Kee (1874-1931), Mary M.(Polly) Kee (1875-1927), Robert John Wesley Kee (1878-1955), Albert Esmond Kee (1885-1931), Reeba Jane Kee (1890-?).[181]

Ont.[153] She and John Kee appeared on the census of 1861 at Lot 24, Con. 5, Chinguacousy Twp., Peel Co., Canada West (Ontario), British North America (Canada); where John (40) was a farmer, and he and Jane (40) were born in Ireland, with Samuel (22), Joseph (20), John (18), Robert (16), Jane (14), David (12), Mary (10), Matilda (8), Rebecca (5), and William (2) all born in Upper Canada, living in a 1-story log home.
