Howland, Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario) arrived in Peel County at the same time and applied for the same job and that Howland got the job. From a biography of Sir William P. Howland we find that he came from New York State to Cooksville in the present County of Peel, in 1830, and applied for a job there. This would seem to establish 1830 as the year John Kee emigrated ". {1}.
