Samuel Wixson

earlier story Samuel & Esther find a two acre plot of land, still in Brock Township, with a single story log cabin and a cow valued at $20. Here the remainder of the family is born, and they are joined by live-in Edward McDermot and Annis Wixson. It's not known where Annis was back in the 1850's, but husband Randal did re-marry in 1859.

No record of Samuel's death has been found. 

On the 26th of November, 1879, Esther Wixson, widow, married Thomas Wiggins in Sunderland in an Anglican service. The younger children, Ann, Robert, Isaac and Jacob stayed with their mother and step-father in Brock Township. Where Clarissa and Mary went is unknown -- probably married. John Daniel moved to Cannington and began his family there in 1878.
