Joseph Wixson's  descendents  in Michigan  after mid- 1840's

All of  Joseph's children, except Joseph Jr. and those that died young, are said to have re-settled in Sanilac County, Michigan.  Randal Wixson: Wixom and Widdison report he died in 17 Nov 1870 after returning from England to Sanilac County and his brothers there. He remarried at age 60 to Eliza Fuller, 13 Nov 1859, widow of another ex-patriot Ontarian, Colin Degeer (14).  Townsend Wixson: Wixom and Widdison report he died in 1890.  Sarah Jane Wixson: Wixom and Widdison report she married Webster Stevens, died in 1890.  Jesse Wixson:  Wixom and Widdison report he married Rebecca Sorter in 1828, became blind at age 40, and was well loved and known as "Uncle Jesse". He was a Baptist preacher like his uncles before him. He had several children, two who fought in the American Civil War. He left Canada in 1835, returned to New York, then moved on to Lexington Twp., Sanilac Co., Michigan, where he died in 1897. Elizabeth Wixson: Wixom and Widdison report she married William Stevens in 1827 in Brock Twp., died in 1868.  Lois Wixson: Wixom and Widdison report she married Jonathan B. Stevens, died in 1894.  It is hoped further information on this branch of the family will be found. -MB
