    It was said in the newspaper that William appeared in court as a debtor, described as "William Barnett Hulse, formerly of Mount East St. in the town of Nottingham, painter, then of Hyson Green, in the parish of Radford ...lace maker, afterwards traveling to various places in the West Indies and North America as a painter and accountant, then of Basford, ...lacemaker, painter, and retail beer seller, since in lodgings at Mr. Whitehall's in Edmond St., Liverpool, painter and late of Basford, ...out of business." He was sued, but when unopposed in court, was discharged.[931],[932]

    George was described by Sir James Gowan as being of Co. Queens (now Co. Laois), Ireland.[275] Mortons were associated with Mountrath, Co. Queens; though George's relation to them is not established.[952] It was said, "Mortons were officers of Oliver Cromwell's body-guard and went from England to Ireland during his Regency and became possessed of an estate in Co. Carlow, adjoining Co. Wicklow. This estate has on it a large castle called Clanmore [sic]," referring to Clonmore.[953] He and Widow (--?--) (--?--) Morton were likely leasing Lugduff (a portion of Rosbane) in 1714 at Kilcommon parish, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.[954] George and his wife (later Widow Morton) had four sons and one daughter: Francis (1714-1780); and likely James (d. 1781).[955] He and Widow (--?--) (--?--) Morton lived in Dec 1714 at Tinahely, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.[954] George and his wife (later Widow Morton) had four sons and one daughter: Francis (1714-1780); and likely James (d. 1781).[955] She and George Morton lived in Dec 1714 at Tinahely, Co. It was said by the surveyor, "The above farm of Coolrus and Tinahely is one of the poorest towns in Ireland mostly inhabited by beggars, whores and rogues. It is impossible to put any valuation upon that town or farm. There is no trade in the town and the land about it is coarse and barren yet the town is well situated for fire and water, and capable to be improved were there any trade brought to the town" in 1730 at Tinahely, Co. An advertisement appeared from the last-named in 1750 announcing that the house of Terenure was to be set, and mentioning, amongst other attractions, that in the gardens, which contained about four acres, there were two large fish ponds stocked with carp and tench, and that the house commanded an agreeable prospect of the harbour of Dublin. A year later, in 1751, this young man, while at Harwich, was shot in a duel. As he was unmarried, Terenure, on his death, passed to his brother, Joseph Deane, the youngest son of the second Edward Deane, of Terenure."[1017]

                "was probably the builder of Clonavilla House, Clones, County Monaghan, a gentrified, three-storey stone home which was occupied by FitzGeralds for nearly 250 years until the 1970s, when it fell into general decay. Marrying Miss Jolly who owned property in County Cavan, James FitzGerald was a friend of Jonathan Swift, Dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin and author of Gulliver's Travels, who visited James at his wife's property in County Cavan."[1031],[1032],[1033] James had a friendship with satirist Jonathan Swift (1667-1745).[1034]
