research note: George appeared in 1911 census with same birth year and
month, on lot4, con11 of Zorra East Twp. This property just north of
Woodstock on Hwy 59 was the Epileptic Hospital. That George was considered
'mentally ill' could explain his dependance and relatively limited
achievements. This exerpt from UER.ca: "[Ontario Hospital] Woodstock was
built on 100 acres, specifically to look after epileptic patients from all
over Ontario: epilepsy was then considered a mental illness. When first
opened on April 22, 1906, it was called the Hospital for Epileptics,
Woodstock, and consisted of two cottages, 'May" and 'George", plus an
administration building. It admitted 58 adult and child patients in its
first year. Many epileptic patients also suffered from mental illness or
retardation. As a part of therapy, the hospital grounds included a working
farm on which fruit, vegetables and grain were grown, and patients were
given tasks according to their abilities. A dairy herd was added in 1919.".

the 19 Robert Boyds in the Toronto City Directories of 1907-1909, the one
living at 3 Givens is most likely the future husband of Muriel Marchment:
1) His stay there ends when our Robert marries and moves to 489 Marion. 2)
He is not living with other Boyds as are most of the others - we know our
Robert's relatives were not in Toronto then. 3) That address is closest to
both the Marchments and Burbidges with whom we know he associated. 4) He
arrives at that address near when he was believed to have immigrated and
arrived in Toronto. 5) All six of the Robert Boyds in the directory for the
year previous to his first on Givens (1906) are disqualified by having
relatives or lengths of stays that do not match our Robert's known events..
