He emigrated between 1801 and 1815 to Douglastown, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada); although, this date is assumed as no Hollands are mentioned among the 8 families in Douglastown in 1800, but Thomas was married there in 1815. By the year 1811 the Catholic missionary counted 15 houses, and 1819, 26 families lived in Douglastown.[695] He and Mary-Amelia Hayden appeared on the census of 20 Sep 1825 at Douglastown, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada); having 8 acres of cultivated land.[696] He and Mary-Amelia Hayden appeared on the census of 1 Nov 1831 at Douglastown, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada); where the family was Roman Catholic, Thomas was a fisherman.[697] He lived in 1840 at Douglastown, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada).[698]

    In March of 1827 a school inspector recorded Arthur Holland as a scholar of reading and writing at Douglastown.[703] He appeared on the census of 1881 at Douglastown, Gaspé Co., Québec, Canada; where Arthur was a Catholic, Irish farmer.[704] Many of Arthur and Elizabeth's descendants are known.[705]

              He began military service on 8 May 1793 with 3rd Foot Guards.[900] He ended military service on 22 Dec 1810 at London, Co. Middlesex, England; a private with 3rd Foot Guards, in Col. John Byng's company, with 17 yrs 229 days of service, then being 39 years old, deaf in one ear, rheumatic, and in bad health.[901] He was examined before the Chelsea Board as an invalid on 7 Feb 1811 at Chelsea Hospital, London, Co. Middlesex, England.[902] He began military service on 24 May 1815 with 5th Royal Regiment of Veterans.[902],[903] He ended military service on 10 Mar 1816 at Deptford, London, Co.
