John FitzGerald, Captain, Daniel O'Bryan's Dragoons, p 310
John FitzGerald, Cornet, Francis Carroll's Dragoons, p 374
John FitzGerald, Captain, Edward Butler's Infantry, p 806
John FitzGerald, Captain, Roger McEllicot's Infantry, p 913
The least likely are Purcell's and O'Bryan's, as those units fought at
Boyne and were therefore not in Dublin during the escape, and McEllicot's
seems most likely as his were raised in Kerry and seemed associated with
the Earl of Clancarty's Infantry where a Capt. Alexander Maguire also
served.. {1}.

Michael Elliott as per 1) Mary's registration of her 1864 marriage, where
father's name recorded as "Murphy Elliott" -- first name is nearly
illegible, and appears somewhat like "Maugley" or "Mangley", 2) Mary
Eleanor and Francis appear in a volume called the Index to Printed Rentals,
listed with Mary's mother and siblings, in relation to properties in the
Baronies of Clonkelly (Co. Fermanagh), and Dartrey (Co. Monaghan). These
most likely refer to her father Michael's holdings in Annaghilly North in
Clonkelly, and Drumard in Dartrey. Both these places are part of Clones
Parish. 3) Family tradition, especially as recorded in 1968 by Anna I.F.
Morton (1877-1972) where she states Michael Elliott died at age 90..
