            He and Marguerite Boyle from Ireland.[756] He may have emigrated between 1801 and 1815 to Douglastown, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada); although, this date is assumed as no Hollands are mentioned among the 8 families in Douglastown in 1800, but son Thomas was married there in 1815. By the year 1811 the Catholic missionary counted 15 houses, and 1819, 26 families lived in Douglastown.[757]

              He and Georgina Howard appeared on the census of 1777 at Percé, Gaspé Co., Québec, British America; with a wife, a boat and four servants.[758],[759] Between 1777 and 1801, Abraham Hayden and Georgina Howard lived at Malbaie, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada).[759] He may be related to Thomas Hayden, another Percé resident originally from Gloucester, England.[760] In 1801 he made a land petition and stated he had eight daughters and one son.[761] He perhaps related to Henry Hayden, who with wife Marie Element had a daughter Jenny Hayden on 1 Sep 1809 at Douglastown, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada).[762] He was living in 1819; and declared 9 daughters.[761]

              Children of Abraham6 Hayden and Georgina Howard (see #159) were as follows:

                John and Elizabeth had five children: John, Rodger, Thomas, Abraham, and Margaret, all surnamed Tapp. They lived in Malbaie on land purchased from her father Abraham Hayden. After Elizabeth died in 1805, John remarried to Angelique Chicoine-Dit-Cotton, and they had 12 more children. Many of their descendants are known, as researched by Clare Tapp.[765]

              • iii. Francis B. Hayden;[763],[763] born 1778;[764] married John Henry Adams circa 1802 at Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada);[656] died 2 Mar 1875 at Gaspé Co., Canada East (Québec), British North America (Canada).[644]

                Francis and John had 8 children, surnamed Adams: John, Abraham, Pierre, Joseph, Thomas, Felix Phillipe, James Jacques, and Mathew. Some of their descendants are known.[766]

                John and Eleanor had seven children in Haldimand and Douglastown.[772]

                Hellen and John had three children: Marguerite McGrath, Genevieve McGrath (m. Roy), and Anne McGrath (m. Ste.-Croix), and some descendants are known for each.[766],[774]

                Genevieve married Mathew Morris, and had two children: Catherine Morris who raised a large family in Barachois-de-Malbaie with Guillaume Girard, and Anne Morris of whom nothing is known.[766],[776]

              • viii. John Hayden;[777],[777] born circa 1794;[764] married Theresia Lucas before 1811;[778],[779] died 9 Feb 1859 at Malbaie, Gaspé Co., Canada East (Québec), British North America (Canada).[644]

                He was a fisherman.[780] John and Theresia had nine children: John Hayden, Mary Hayden, Abner Hayden, Elizabeth Ann Hayden, Jane Hayden, Sophia Hayden, Angelina Hayden, Elizabeth Nancy Hayden, and John Hayden. Some of their descendants are known.[766],[781] He appeared on the census of 1825 at Point Peter and Mal Bay, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada); as a Protestant.[782] He appeared on the census of 1831 at Malbaie, Gaspé Co., Lower Canada (Québec), British North America (Canada); where John was a landowner, fisherman, with a family of 9, Church of England, having achieve his land ownership "free and common."[783]

                      He was living in 1778.[855] He was a victualer.[856],[857] His estate was administered on 16 Aug 1783 "granted to Ann Patrick his widow."[858]

                        Frances and William had four children: Richard (1788-1853), William (1786-1835), Frances (b.1790), Mary (b.1793). Wife of a Welch descendant, Liz Wakelin shared much of her Patrick research in 1998.[863]

                        He appeared on the census of 1841 at Buriton, Co. Hampshire, England; where Richard (75) a bricklayer and Ann (65) were present in the same home as their son Thomas, and the Spooner, Pretty, and Sheet families.[251],[867] In 1841, Richard paid tithes on his residence on North Lane, Buriton, a cottage and garden.[868]

                      275. Ann7 (--?--); married Richard Patrick (see #274), son of Richard Patrick and Anne Luff, circa 1750;[852] died Aug 1790;[869] buried 8 Aug 1790 at St. Mary's Church, Buriton, Co. Hampshire, England, "widow of Richard Patrick."[870]

                      Her estate was administered on 16 Jul 1791 "granted ... to Richard Patrick ...her only son and next of kin ...amount in value ...100 pounds."[871]
