16. Harry Albery3 BONE (child of Thomas, #32);[76],[77] born 27 Feb 1837 at Petersfield, Co. Hampshire, England;[78],[79] baptized 23 Apr 1837 at Petworth, Co. Sussex, England;[80],[81] married Kate Stallard (see #17), daughter of Edward George James Stallard and Ann Chalcraft, 28 Sep 1861 at Congregational Chapel, Petersfield, Co. Hampshire, England; when Harry was recorded to be 24 and a Maltster in Petersfield, and Kate 18 years of age in Sheet, witnessed by Edward Stallard (Kate's father) and Frances Stallard (her sister);[82] died of heart failure 15 Dec 1912 at 185 Fern Avenue, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada, at age 75;[83],[84] buried 18 Dec 1912 at St. George's On-The-Hill, Range 9 North, S 1/2 lot 16, plot 3, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.[85],[86] Harry may have attended Churcher's College sometime between 1847 and 1858. He later told how he could pick from his father's apple trees reaching over the fence from the school yard. He may instad have attended the British boys and girls school on College Street.[87] He was a Master Brewer and beer retailer in 1865 at College Street, Petersfield, Co. Hampshire, England.[88],[89] He and Kate Stallard emigrated between 1867 and 1871 to Canada; Possibly the Bones first settled in Islington, Ontario (prob. with the Stallards in 1867) -- just west of Toronto, then moved on to St. Joseph, Missouri, and then returned to Allandale and Barrie by 1880.[90],[91],[92] In Barrie, on the birth of his son Ernest in 1880, Harry was recorded to be a Maltster.[93] From 1880 to 1883, Harry Albery Bone and Kate Stallard lived at Allendale, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada.[94] From 1884 to 1886, Harry Albery Bone and Kate Stallard lived at 6 West Ellen Street, Barrie, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada, as renters.[95],[96],[97] From 1887 to 1890, Harry Albery Bone and Kate Stallard lived at 6 West Ellen Street, Barrie, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada, it is assumed.[98] In Dec. 1890, Harry purchased Lot 3, Tiffin St., Barrie from George Morran of Toronto, for $300. It was arranged that $8 monthly instalment be made (3¼ years).[99] He and Kate Stallard appeared on the census of 1891 at Barrie, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada; where Harry (54) was a baggage man. Kate (40), and Ernest (11) and Ethel (9) were present, and they lived in a wooden house.[100] From 1891 to 1893, Harry Albery Bone and Kate Stallard lived at Lot 3, Tiffin Street, Barrie, Simcoe Co., Ontario, Canada.[101],[102] Harry sold the Tiffin St. property for $1 to Naughton Lennox of Barrie in May 1893. It appears he borrowed against the property in 1892, and Mr. Lennox purchased that 'debt' when Harry was unable to repay. This may explain the story "had a house in Barrie, but was cheated out of it."[103],[104] In 1899, Harry Albery Bone and Kate Stallard lived at 116 Northcote, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada.[105] In 1900, Harry Albery Bone and Kate Stallard lived at 103 Argyle, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada.[106] In 1901, Harry Albery Bone and Kate Stallard lived at 45 Noble, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada.[107] He and Kate Stallard appeared on the census of 11 Apr 1901 at Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada; where they were in a 6-room rental.
