The Mortons and related families

Researched by Martyn Bone.

Bibliography:

1. The registration of Francis' death for reports his mother name is Eliza Dean. The registration of his brother Edward, however, has mothers name as simply Barrett. It's more likely that Dean is correct for their mother, and that Barrett is some other related name. Dean is used as a middle name by many of her children and descendants. Also, when Francis died, his surviving children who entered the registration had likely met and remembered their grandmother Eliza Dean, whereas Edward's children may not have.

2. ACCOUCHER = from the French meaning obstetrician, C.W. = Canada West, the Ontario portion of the Province of Canada 1840-67.

3. William L. mentioned in the will of his mother, Tat in 1911.
